Microsoft Word has been integral part in my student career at FSU and TCC. As an English major student, I have used Word to create several documents and papers for the benefit of my education. I have written papers in Word, created Bibliographies and Annotated Bibliographies, and have used Word to create responses or Journal posts that I would later copy and paste and put into the proper online former. With using Microsoft Word to create these drafts, I have been able to back these assignments in Word in order for safety measures in case something went wrong with the online forum. Mostly, when it comes to my educators I have seen them predominantly use Word in order to deliver a syllabus to students or to address and assignment for students. Technology has ultimately become a way of life for most people in this day and age. Technology is used for navigation, shopping, and things that are used on a daily business. Therefore, it is no surprise that technology has become an integral part in the learning experience. The influence of daily activity with technology in an individual's life affects the way that the view the world as well as the way they process information. Although, it is important to integrate basic skills into the learning experience, it is also important to integrate technology into the classroom with students and teach them in a way that they may better understand the information or the curriculum they are meant to learn. Technology has played an important role in my academic setting as well as my life in general. Although technology was not a big part of my life growing up as a kid, I have become very equipped in utilizing it. Through many of my classes, I have had web based classes that require the complete use of a computer in order to fulfill the requirements in class. Furthermore, in several of my more recent classes the use of technology and applications based around it have been used for projects done in these classes. I have created several websites for classes both an e-portfolio for myself as well as one for my internship, and several intricate projects that were based around the use of technology.
