Adaptive technologies are used to support learners that may suffer from a disability and therefore require software or modifications to make it accessible and useful to these learners. There are ways to accommodate individuals with a variety of differences including students who are deaf, blind, for students that are unable to use a standard keyboard and mouse, for those who suffer from eyesight impairments but are not blind, for individuals that do not have motor control, and other disabilities that hinder them from the use of a typical computer. I personally can not think of anyone that has used this technology except for maybe the magnification application in order to be able to read due to changes in eyesight and I have also utilized this aspect before. However, as for other adaptive technologies, I can not think of an occasion where these have been used.
