As far as the ELA standards are concerned, most of the aspects of the RL. 7 "Multimedia:" Literature I feel comfortable with. I feel that I will do well with this aspect of the standards as I have a decent understanding of technical uses in relations to written works and how to utilize technology to emphasize or clarify information. For the RI. 7 "Multimedia:" Information Text, I feel that I will do well in this category as well as I have utilized these in my own academic career. I feel the multimedia standards for History and Science are just reiterating the same information but it is just specific to that subject. History is not a strong subject for me so while the technological part will be something that I am equipped for, the actual information could always be something I can improve on. When it comes to the "Consuming" Tech Standards, as I have to use this throughout my entire college education, this will definitely be something I will be able to teach to future students and will feel confident in. As my major is Editing, Writing, and Media, I find I spend much time analyzing these kinds of aspects of technological information. As for the "Producing" Tech Standards, I also feel that I could do well with those in an academic setting and teaching other. Despite my confidence in most of these aspects, I believe that there is always room for improvement and that I can always learn better and new ways in order to teach students in a beneficial way.
When it came to the Newsletter assignment, a lot of the things that were required were relatively new to me, at least as far as Word is concerned. Most of the things I had to use the search bar to help me locate , but after I had located the requirements I was able to navigate through the assignment. After this assignment, I was able to create a header with word are and include clip art with the header as well. Although, sometimes it was difficult to align the clip art appropriately with the Word Art title. However, I managed to get it to look appropriate for the final draft. Columns was also a new feature for me in Word but I was able to adapt well to this function and just needed to keep the alignment between the two columns throughout the assignment. The shading looks a little off with the rest of the Newsletter but I understand the requirement for it in the assignment. I think I could improve the layout and how the final product came out together to make it look more organized and put together as well as maybe a different color scheme. The images used could be different ones as well. However, I feel all of these aspects that were used in Word will be beneficial in future projects and creations both in and out of an academic setting and although me to have an idea of how to include things that will cause a decorative quality as well as organized one. These skills can definitely be beneficial when it comes to a teaching career in the future.
