The school web page that I have chosen to look at is from Osceola Fundamental High School which teaches grades 9th to 12th. Looking through the web page I was able to get general information of what is going on in the school on an everyday basis as well as special events that they have going on. Through the About Us I was able to learn information about the school and why to choose a fundamental school as well as information about conduct that would not be tolerated. When it came to finding class pages, one some of the pages there are mission statements and core practices while others just list the teachers and their emails in order to contact them. There is also a page dedicated to Warrior Academy, which highlights the use of technology and projects that are real world applications. The website highlights programs as well as clubs and organizations that a student can join when attending the school. There is a resources page that gives information for tutoring, seniors, parents, freshman, etc., as well as a way to get engaged with the school through Boosters or PTSA.

I would like to use technology for the purpose of keeping up grades as well as keeping up with a student's conduct and being able to relay this information back to the student's parents as well.I would find applications that would allow me to engage my students in medium that is familiar with them through technology and use these applications to create an environment that makes this students interested. Having Learning management systems for my classroom will be beneficial to not only have an in-person classroom but to keep in contact with my students virtually. Social networking is something I would like to stay away from as I feel that this can be distracting for students and have them stray away from the task at hand. My purpose in the use of technology is to better manage my classroom through an easier medium like inputting grades or attendance and to be able to have open communication with students and parents alike. Technology is beneficial in this aspect as it allows for a constant flow of communication that was not previously offered.
Sadly, due to personal matters, I was excused from class and did not get to join in the experience of the Technology Sandbox. However, there are many technologies that I would have loved the opportunity to have engaged with both for personal interest and academic purposes. The Oculus Rift, looked pretty cool and since I have never experienced virtual reality and since it is becoming popular in society I would like the opportunity to experience it. Furthermore, being able to experience the advancements that are taking over technology gives insight into what the future may hold. Although I have seen SMART boards used in many of my classes, I would have loved the opportunity to get to actually use the technology and get some familiarity and experience with this technology as it is becoming more popular within the academic setting. Therefore, I may be faced with using this within my teaching experience and would like to not be a complete beginner with using it. I have never interacted with any type of 3D printing and definitely would have loved the opportunity to engage with this technology as it appears to be absolutely fascinating. Being able to interact and learn about any of these technologies is beneficial in all aspects of the future as technology is becoming more prevalent not just in the academic setting but in everyday lifestyles and it is best to get a better understanding of these.
