Blog Post 7
I have previously used Twitter before in another class for a similar assignment except that we had to post a lot more than is required in this class. I have not necessarily learned anything new in my uses f Twitter that were previously unknown to me but I have learned more about education and technology. Furthermore, I find many benefits in using Twitter especially when keeping up with fellow students or an collegiate academic setting. Twitter is a fast and easy way of communication that allows a person to share things of interest especially like we do in class relating to the subjects that are important to our career as well as highlight what is important in the information that we do share. Twitter allows for people all over the world to communicate information that previously would have been unknown to others due to the lack of communication. I have yet to experience any issues with Twitter as I am relatively familiar with the application and therefore know how to navigate my way around it.
I have previously made a website with Wix, so I really didn't acquire anything new that I had not previously learned. So aspects of Weebly are easier than the Wix site however and it was pretty easy to navigate through the pages and the things that needed to be done. Obviously since I am not an actual education at the moment I would have liked to have used my own personal teaching photos and experiences in there but that will have to wait until I actually begin my academic career. I wish that I hadn't had to immediately choose a theme or could have chosen one that was more in the education field. However, I was able to work with what was given and create a website befitting for the grade that I would like to teach. I would spend more time playing with different themes and elements to determine which I liked best. I would also work on a more extensive syllabus as well. I did like all the resources I was able to find for that grade level and for important tests that are required of students in that grade as well.

I think Diigo is great! I love being able to share websites that are beneficial with fellow classmates and hopefully my future colleagues. I think that I could utilize both with my students and with other teachers at the school. With teachers we could share websites and information with each other that could be beneficial for our classrooms and the lessons we plan to teach. For students, it could allow me to share resources with them that I think will be beneficial to their academic career as well as the can share with their fellow peers. Having been able to highlight and annotate an article is also something that could be used to help teach students how to pull important information out of something as well as utilize these applications to better understand information. Furthermore, it allows me to highlight important information for both my students and my colleagues.
