I think data collection and reporting tools will come in handy for me throughout my experience as a teacher. As I am trying to be a high school English teacher, grades will be important and this is a great way to keep track of how my students are doing academically as well as keep them and their parents updated on their status. Therefore, learning this aspect of Excel that was previously unknown to me will be extremely beneficial in my experience as a teacher. Not to mention, it is a great way to keep track of how my students are doing as a whole and if there is room for improvement, this kind of data will be able to highlight it for me and I can work on making changes to improve the success of my students. Surveying will also allow me to see where my students stand or how they feel about course material and hopefully we can work together to come to mutual agreements and understandings so that the class runs smoothly and the students get the most out of their learning experience.

For looking at others blogs, I enjoyed seeing the different opinions on the subject matter that we have been taught within the classroom. I was surprised to find that some students were not as familiar with Twitter as I presumed mostly everybody was. I truly enjoyed looking at other classmates projects and seeing the creative and interesting material they created. Another thing I was surprised about was finding out that most of my fellow classmates would like to teach younger students and that there were only about two students, besides myself, who would like to teach to older students. As always looking through other classmates blogs, I found great resources that I can always utilize and that I had not even thought of myself when were looking for these.

I have always wanted to learn programming to be honest. Now realizing all of these free online classes through MOOC or Lynda, I feel I have the opportunity to this now. I have always been fascinated with being extremely educated in the all aspects surrounding computers, not only because they have become such an important resource in society but for my own knowledge as well.  I think during my free time taking several classes that about computer programming will help me get the desired knowledge that I require even without the degree. I feel understanding computer programming is a beneficial thing to know with the fact that society is becoming more and more digital by the day and further if I eventually do decide to pursue a career and degree in the field, I will already knowledgeable about the information.
